I’m a 26-year-old living in the Southeast with my husband, RJ, and our four lovely cats.
Honeymoon in Arizona, October 2010
We tied the knot on October 23, 2010, in St. Augustine, Florida. It was a wonderful day despite some minor hiccups, including a car accident ten minutes before our rehearsal.

I graduated in 2007 with a masters degree in social work. Nowadays you can find me working at a local hospital as a social worker, preparing to take my licensing exam in July 2011 taking a deep breath because I passed my clinical boards on July 15th, and dreaming of becoming a licensed clinical social worker in early 2012 and received my license in March 2012! It’s my personal mission in life to squash unflattering stereotypes of social workers. For instance, I am not a disgruntled, underpaid government employee nor do I snatch babies.
Graduation Day, August 2007
In March 2010, I completed my first half-marathon, the Disney Princess Half-Marathon in Orlando, Florida. I had the good fortune to train and run with a group of lovely “Princesses” and one amazing coach thanks to Team in Training.
Disney Princess Half-Marathon, March 2010
I had dreams of going on to run a marathon in Spring 2011. However, an injury and a wedding interfered with those lofty ambitions. I recently signed up to run the K-Swiss Tour de Pain in August 2011 and Savannah Rock ‘n’ Roll Half-Marathon in November 2011. I ran the K-Swiss Tour de Pain, PRed all of my races, and learned that I am pregnant the very next week. Needless to say, I did not run the Savannah Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon in November because I was 17 (give or take) weeks pregnant!
I also enjoy rock climbing at the local rock gym, reading sci-fi and fantasy novels, and spending time on my couch with my husband. This is my blog. Welcome to it!
