Pregnancy Update: Week 31
How far along: 31 weeks down, 9 to go!
Total weight gain/loss: 23 pounds (-1 pound in the last two weeks… weird).
Exercise: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and today! Mostly walking (usually 2 miles) and doing leg exercises at this point. Carrying around an extra 23 pounds in your stomach slows ya down! It’s like a built in weight belt!
Maternity clothes: Of course. No idea how women stay in non-maternity clothes throughout their pregnancy but very impressed by it! Can’t wait to slip into a pair of jeans with belt loops!
Sleep: Still sleeping great… I think the new bed has a lot to do with this! I’m also EXHAUSTED by the time I leave work.
Best moment this week: Hearing little Riley’s heartbeat at my midwife appointment and going through all of her goodies from the baby shower. So many cute outfits!
Things you miss: My endurance.
Movement: Yep! Her favorite past-time is stepping on (or stretching her legs out in the direction of) mommy’s hip bones. I love seeing her little head or butt stick out!
Food cravings: Nothing crazy at this point.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Honestly my appetite has been on the fritz for several weeks now. Nothing sounds good to me lately, especially after lunch time. I’m usually turned off to most of the food in our house and eat a lot of starchy, bland stuff for dinner.
Gender: GIRL!
How I’m feeling: Feeling good for the most part. Just the usual suspects: allergies and all that it implies. The plants are very, very confused by the weather here in Jacksonville. One day it’s 80 degrees and the next all the plants have frozen and I’m scraping ice off of my car. I’m ready for the warm weather to stick!
Looking forward to: The next 9 weeks… I’m so anxious and excited for her arrival! It totally freaks me out that we will be considered “full term” in 6 short weeks! My mom carried me for 42 weeks (talk about overdue), but her labor was super short… only 4-5 hours from start to finish! I think it will be interesting to see if my delivery is similar. We had to guess when the expected arrival date would be at my shower. I guessed May 1st (that’s 10 days overdue!). I guess I’m signing myself up for the long haul. 
Anyone else taking bets on when they will finally go into labor/deliver?
